Helicopter Pilots - We are looking to extend the heli-pad area out parallel to the existing runway. This will allow many pilots that like to do 3D as well as pattern and high speed flights to stand with the same orientation as the fixed wing pilots but gain some separation from the regular flying stations and hopefully help ease some of the current fears that fixed wing pilots have in flying at the same time as helicopters are airborne.

We want to pilot this by placing carpet down to prevent dust and discover how this will work for all pilots in the club prior to looking at a permanent solution in asphalt or concrete and perhaps extending the covered parking area.

Runway Maintenance - As you may or may not be aware, we are continuing to see the cracks in the runway widen, multiply and give birth to weeds. We are looking at bids to fix this properly and then propose the spenditure on this repair.
